Well, the biggest news of the week is that Rowan and I are going to spend 3 months in Texas with my mom and dad. Eric and I had talked about needing more income and travel nursing was mentioned. Just on a whim I started looking at different companies and where I could get an assignment. I was hoping for a job somewhere within an hour of Longview, Texas. That’s where mom and dad live. I talked with nine different agencies. Only one had an offer right in Longview. There were a lot of offers in Tyler, about an hour away, and one that I really liked. But in the long run, I decided to take the one in Longview, because of the gas prices and the commute time. It’ll be nice to only have a 10-15 minute commute instead of a 45 minute one. The great part is that I’ll double my income. Eric will be able to get a lot of projects done around the house and maybe pick up some free lance web design work as well. I’m a little scared but excited too. If I like it, I can continue with 13 week assignments where ever I can find people to put me up (or put with me). Or sometimes there are shorter assignments worth more money. Who knows what this could all lead too.
Also, Rowan is pulling himself up on everything now!! Oh my god, I’m not sure I’m ready for a more mobile child. J He’s eating better, too.As long as I disguise vegetables with fruit, he eats it. And Rowan’s big news is that he is finally getting another tooth!! Whoo Hoo!
